To the northeast of Atar, the Adrar plateau is easily recognized on all maps thanks to the unique formation that is the Guelb Er Richat. On the northern edge of this gigantic circus spread out the sandy curves of Erg Magtheir. Powerful and magnificent, we see emerging from this immense dune massif, the Aderg plateau. By discovering this beautiful region on foot, you can still find Paleolithic and Neolithic remains, you also meet many Mauritanian nomads who graze their herds there.
