A huge and wild country, Niger is certainly one of the most endearing on the planet. One can only be seduced by its nomads, its oasis towns and its blue mountains. Going north from Agadèz, you have to reach Iférouane to meet the first Tuaregs. After the Aleggues wadi and Tezirzet, the hike begins through the Ténéré dunes. To the west, the Tamgak and Ttaghmert mountains form a large rocky barrier. To the east, the golden dunes of Tebet (recognized for being the highest dunes in the Sahara) and Izane marry the bluish contours of the Adrar Chiriet.
